Please note that the Hasbro Online Community is operated by a third party service provider, C Space, on behalf of Hasbro.  You must agree to the following terms and conditions of use (“Terms and Conditions”) before you access or otherwise use or participate in the Hasbro Online Community. Your use of this web site constitutes your agreement with Hasbro and C Space to be bound by, and to act in accordance with, these Terms and Conditions.   

 

Privacy

By clicking-accepting these Terms & Conditions, you consent to the following:

• C Space collects all personally identifiable information voluntarily provided by you on this website.
• If you reside outside of the United States, your information is then transmitted out of your country of residence to the United States.
• Your information will be stored by C Space in its servers located in the United States.
• Your information may be transmitted by C Space to Hasbro or other third parties only to the extent necessary for the operation of the Hasbro Online Community and only in accordance with the Terms and Conditions and the privacy policies of Hasbro and C Space.

You agree to the following Terms and Conditions of use and the privacy policies of Hasbro and C Space.  C Space will have no right to use any such information other than use as necessary to fulfill its services to Hasbro.  A copy of the C Space privacy policy can be found at https://www.cspace.com/privacy_en-us.  To the extent that C Space transmits any of your personally identifiable information to Hasbro, Hasbro will only use such information in accordance with the privacy policy of Hasbro, a copy of which is available at http://www.hasbro.com/home/privacy.html.

Your sensitive personal information (e.g. ethnicity, income, education, etc.) is collected solely for the purposes of creating and operating a balanced community reflective of Hasbro’s consumer population or its segments. Such information is not collected for any discriminatory purposes. You retain the right not to answer certain questions regarding personal information with which you do not feel comfortable without impacting your consideration for inclusion in the community. If you do not want your personally identifiable information collected, transmitted or stored as set forth herein, please do not submit such information. If you have already submitted this information and would like it corrected or removed, please contact us at helpdesk@cspace.com.

By using the website and accepting the Terms and Conditions, if you reside outside of the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information outside your country of residence to the United States.  Regardless of the country of your residence, C Space will ensure that all information is collected, transferred and stored in accordance with applicable data protection laws.  Please note that personal information may be disclosed pursuant to a lawful request for said information from law enforcement or government agencies.  This information may be requested from the authorities in your country or the United States.

Your personally identifiable information will be used in the following ways:

• Your personal information will be used for the purposes of creating and operating a balanced community reflective of Hasbro’s consumer population or its segments.
• Your email address will only be used for the purposes of sending the weekly community email from your facilitator(s) and for administering electronic or physical rewards.
• Your personal information will be used to help track the way you use the website and Hasbro products.
• This information will help us better understand your needs and how we can improve our products and services.

C Space may share your information with third party service providers only to the extent necessary to operate the Hasbro Online Community. These companies have agreed to only use your information as specifically authorized and to have procedures in place to protect the information.  Hasbro will not share your information with any third party service provider except C Space. 

If we share your information with a company, other than as set out above, we will contact you first to obtain consent and give you the opportunity to remove your information from the database

 

Parental Consent

By becoming a member and accepting these Terms and Conditions, you authorize your child/children, age(s) 6-14 years old, to participate in periodic activities within the community, under your supervision.  You will also be asked to complete and return a separate parental consent form. In consenting to your child's participation in the Hasbro Online Community, you are enabling your child to respond to surveys, discussions, brainstorms, image and video galleries and complete special assignments and otherwise participate in all communication aspects of the Hasbro Online Community, including posting and reading messages from facilitators and other community members, including both parents/legal guardians and children ages 6-14.  Further, you understand that by participating in the Hasbro Online Community, your child will submit or post content in the community that will be accessible to C Space and/or Hasbro and subject to the assignment provision below. 

C Space and Hasbro will not solicit or intentionally collect personally identifiable information from your child (such as full name, home address, email address, telephone number or any other information that would allow someone to identify or contact the child) and will use commercially reasonable efforts consistent with industry best practices to monitor and remove a child’s personally identifiable information if such information is posted in the Hasbro Online Community.  Please supervise your child’s participation in the Hasbro Online Community and discourage your child from submitting or posting personally identifiable information.

Any information submitted by your child will be collected and processed in accordance with C Space’s and Hasbro’s Privacy Policies and will not be otherwise disclosed to third parties.  If you would like to correct or remove any information or content submitted by your child, please contact us at helpdesk@cspace.com.

 Notification of Changes

We may change or revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time by updating this posting. Please visit the Terms and Conditions area each time you visit the web site to keep up to date with the current terms regarding your use of the web site. Your use of the web site reaffirms your continuing agreement to the then-current Terms and Conditions. Any future changes to these terms and conditions will be posted on the community web site.

 

Confidentiality

Your invitation to participate in the Hasbro Online Community is personal and non-transferable. You or anyone in your household or immediate family can not work in marketing research, advertising, public relations, for a toy, game or video game manufacturer, manufacturer of educational products, for a juvenile products or entertainment/broadcasting company, as a learning or curriculum developer or learning company, or for a retailer that sells toys or games.  You may not disclose to others any of the information that we disclose to you or any ideas or information that are generated in the community. Your community member name and password are for your use only. You may not disclose your password to any other person. 

 

Assignment

You irrevocably assign to Hasbro all rights in any ideas or expressions of ideas that you or your child/children provide to the community. All comments, suggestions, graphics, ideas (including product and advertising ideas), and other information or materials you or your child/children submit to Hasbro through this web site will become and remain the exclusive property of Hasbro, including any future rights associated with such submissions, even if these Terms and Conditions are later modified or terminated. This means that you disclaim any proprietary rights in such submissions, and you acknowledge Hasbro unrestricted right to use them (or materials or ideas similar to them) in any medium, now and in the future, without notice, compensation or other obligation to you or any other person. It also means that with the exception of your personal information, Hasbro has no obligation to keep your submissions confidential. 

You further release and waive all claims against Hasbro with respect to any intellectual property or other proprietary rights, rights of privacy and publicity, rights of attribution, or any other liability under the applicable laws. 

 

Code of Conduct

You agree not to upload, post or transmit to or distribute or otherwise publish through the Web Site any materials which (i) restrict or inhibit any other user from using the Web Site, or contain a virus or other harmful component, (ii) violate any laws or violate or infringe any rights of third parties (including copyright, trademark, rights of privacy or publicity or any other proprietary right), or (iii) are not appropriate or pertinent to the purpose of the Web Site or are libelous, defamatory or offensive. You will agree to abide by the copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property and proprietary rights of Hasbro.

You agree to abide by these rules of conduct:

• Unless specifically told otherwise, you must keep confidential all information that Hasbro, other community members, and you share with the community.
• You agree not to use behavior that does not support a safe and comfortable environment for all members, or to engage in any proselytizing or commercial activity.
• You agree not to post any of the following: material that advocates illegal activity, advertising or any form of commercial solicitation, or copyright-protected files.

• You agree not to copy or download any material from the Hasbro Online Community.
• You agree to receive emails from the Community regarding Community Activities.
• Hasbro does not endorse the information posted in the Hasbro Online Community.

This Website may contain links to other websites for informational purposes and are not intended to suggest any affiliation with Hasbro unless expressly stated. The reliability, availability and performance of these other websites is beyond Hasbro’s control, and these sites are governed by privacy policies and terms of use different from Hasbro’s.  Accordingly, Hasbro makes no representations or warranties with respect to such websites. Hasbro, however, retains the right to refuse to post, redact or delete any content for any reason whatsoever. Membership

Your membership in and access to the Hasbro Online Community is strictly at the discretion of Hasbro and may be revoked at any time without cause and without notice. You hereby release Hasbro from any and all liability that may arise in connection with your use of the Hasbro Online Community.

 

Warranty

Hasbro does not represent or endorse the correctness, accuracy, reliability or any other aspect of advice, opinion, statement, content or other information distributed through the Hasbro Online Community, and reserves the right to remove any content from the community website that it deems inappropriate.

Hasbro and/or its agencies endeavor to maintain this web site and its operation, but is not, and cannot be, responsible for the results of any defects that may exist in the web site or its operation. Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising under or related to these Terms and Conditions (whether for breach of contract, tortuous conduct or otherwise) will be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without reference to its conflicts of law principles. You agree to submit to jurisdiction in Massachusetts and further agree that any cause of action arising under this Agreement may be brought in a court in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you hereby accept and submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts with respect to any legal actions, suits or proceedings arising out of these Terms and Conditions. You also waive to the fullest extent permitted by law any right to a trial by jury in any action, suit or proceeding brought to enforce, defend or interpret any right or remedies under, or arising in connection with or relating to, these Terms and Conditions.
